This project is inspired by the Greek Revolution of 1821 .
This particular garment is inspired by the "thieves" as they where called.
As I was doing my research I found out that my last name is a type of pocket knife and it was a last name that a certain family of these "thieves" had.
The garment represents them in every way, the skirt made of taffeta has little scratches all over the garment , the vest worn the opposite way , as well as the classic "tsarouhi" all modernised and brought to life with this project.

I never forget my roots.
